Priya Khanna

Priya is an Advocate and a Legal Consultant with a career spanning almost twenty years. Shehad worked with one of India’s premier law firms for 15 years before she joined ‘Trinaya Legal’ as a Senior Partner.

 

Priya’s areas of interest and expertise in the legal field is primarily general corporate commercial law. Her other areas of focus are employment/labour laws. Priya has participated in several acquisitions on behalf of foreign bidders and specializes in conducting legal due diligence. Apart from the foregoing, she has also handled and supervised several niche research projects for the Government of India involving novel issues of law and policy.

Since 2014, Priya has been providing consultancy services with a niche focus on laws pertaining to several harassment and other related intra-work place disputes. She has been advising several clients draft their respective Anti-Sexual Harassment policies and is on the board of the Internal Committee [established under The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Protection, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 (POSH Act) of many companies. She has been actively conducting sessions at important legal conferences/workshops on the important aspects of the POSH Act.

 

Priya has attended International Legal Conferences by and under the auspices of the International Bar Association (IBA), Union Internationale de Avocat (UIA), LAWASIA, ICC Arbitration, SAARC Law, Bar Association of India (BAI), Multilaw, Interlex, Pacific Rim Advisory Council (PRAC) and the International Pacific Bar Association (IPBA). Priya is an active member of the Society of Indian Law Firms (SILF) since its incorporation. Also, she is a member of the Indian Society for Afro-Asian Studies (ISAAS) and the Delhi High Court Bar Association. Shewas recently awarded with the prestigious recognition of a “Woman of Excellence” at the Women Economic Forum in April 2018 at New Delhi.
